Dr. Shareefdeen also worked for several institutions, including University of Waterloo, University of California, BIOREM Inc., Ontario and King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia. His research and teaching interests are in waste management, pollution control, heat transfer, biofiltration, bioreactor modelling, and conversion of wastes to energy technologies.
