Auf der 6. Deutsch-Französischen Strafrechtstagung, die am 27. und 28. Oktober 2017 an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen stattfand, haben deutsche und französische Strafrechtswissenschaftlerinnen und Strafrechtswissenschaftler aktuelle und grundsätzliche Fragen des Wirtschaftsstrafrechts in rechtsvergleichender Perspektive diskutiert. Die in diesem Sammelband zusammengestellten Tagungsbeiträge sind vielgestaltig und bieten einen Einblick in die Komplexität der Materie, die das materielle Strafrecht, das Prozessrecht und die internationale Rechtsdurchsetzung gleichermaßen berührt. Behandelt werden unter anderem die Bedeutung von Verständigungen und Vergleichen in Wirtschaftsstrafverfahren, Notwendigkeit und Legitimität spezialisierter Strafverfolgungsbehörden, Irrtumsfragen, die (völker-)strafrechtliche Verantwortlichkeit von Unternehmen, der Grundrechtsschutz im europäischen Mehrebenensystem sowie die Europäisierung des Finanzschutzstrafrechts.

Kai Ambos is since May 2003 the holder of the Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Comparative Law and International Criminal Law at the Georg-August-University Göttingen (GAU), Germany. Since December 2013 he is Director of the Centro de Estudios de Derecho Penal y Procesal Penal Latinoamericano (CEDPAL) of the GAU and since April 2018 Acting Director of the Institute of Criminal Law and Justice. Ambos served as a Judge at the Provincial Court (Landgericht) of Lower Saxony in Göttingen from 24 March 2006 to 7 February 2017; with his appointment as Judge at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC), The Hague, on 7 February 2017 he took leave from this judicial position. On 6 December 2017 he has been selected as Advisor (Amicus Curiae) to the Colombian Special Jurisdiction for Peace. Since 2016 Stefanie Bock is a Professor for Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, International Criminal Law and Comparative Law at the Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany, and Acting Director of the International Research and Documentation Centre for War Crimes Trials. Her main fields of research are international criminal law, European criminal law and victims' rights. She also is the vice chair of the commission for criminal law of the German Women Lawyer's Association (since 2018) and one of the Associate Editors of the Criminal Law Forum (since 2015). Prior to taking up her current position she worked as assistant professor and senior research assistant at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, chair of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Kai Ambos.
